Belen's Insights on Crafting Aldina Wines
Aldina Vineyards proudly cultivates estate-grown fruit from the prestigious Fountaingrove District AVA. These vineyards, perched atop a mountain with rich volcanic soils, offer the ideal conditions for growing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Al Lopez personally planted the vines on their Santa Rosa estate, and during the early fall mornings, we walk the vineyards together, tasting the fruit to evaluate tannin structure and flavor, ensuring the perfect maturity. Al's deep love and passion for his vineyard are evident, and as a winemaker, I am a strong believer that great quality fruit is the foundation for exceptional wines. This belief allows us to elevate the wines we craft.
Our wines are produced in small lots, handcrafted at the time of harvest using a combination of minimalist, traditional, and innovative winemaking techniques, complemented by carefully selected oak. This approach ensures that every bottle reflects the care, passion, and excellence that define Aldina Vineyards.
